If you have a pet that you can no longer care for and need help finding it a new
forever home, please call us at (830) 990-9085.
When you call us, we will set up an appointment for an adoption evaluation.
Generally, we request that you bring your pet to the Trudy Brune Hill Country
SPCA on a Tuesday, between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.
The purpose of the adoption evaluation is to ensure that your animal is
adoptable and to determine what type of home would be best for it.
Because the Trudy Brune Hill Country SPCA is a “No-Kill” shelter, we will never
euthanize an animal to make room for another unwanted animal.
Therefore, after its evaluation, your pet will be placed on our waiting list,
and you will be notified when we have a vacancy and can accept it into the
shelter.
Once you have been notified, you have 48 hours to surrender to your pet to us.
Your pet will spend its first 10 days in quarantine and then will be
moved into the regular shelter quarters and be available for adoption.
