Since 2006, Paddy’s Party has paid tribute to a 12 lb. Chihuahua mix dog that was thrown from a speeding truck. Residents who witnessed the incident rescued the dog and took her immediately to a local vet for treatment. Paddy spent 5 weeks at the vet and the Hill Country SPCA was contacted to assist with her rehabilitation. Years of previous abuse and the truck incident had taken toll on this sweet animal. For 2 years HCSPCA cared for Paddy and helped her gain confidence in humans again. Paddy was adopted by the Hunter Scott family and lived a loving and happy life. In mid-2016 Paddy passed over the rainbow bridge. Her legacy to the HCSPCA is to continue to shelter, care and nurture abandoned and abused animals, so that they can find their forever loving home.
