In mid 2008, the Hill Country SPCA Board of Directors determined that a thrift
store would be the best alternative to provide funding needed to support
the operation of the Trudy Brune Hill Country SPCA shelter. After much research
and planning, Trudy’s Treasures opened in
August of 2010.
The Hill Country SPCA Thrift store is located at 3025 Highway
16 South, right next to the Trudy Brune Hill Country SPCA, and is open Tuesday
thru Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00P.M.
Clothes for men and women in a
variety of sizes are always available - summer and winter clothes, dress
clothes for both men and women, and coats for all seasons. A really special
area called PICK OF THE LITTER has upscale items, many of which have never
been worn or used.
In addition to clothes, the thrift store offers glassware, pottery, utensils,
linens, fabric pieces, furniture of all kinds, musical instruments, jewelry,
rugs, paintings, and other items for sale.
The Thrift Store is successful because of the high quality of the
items it offers , and, to continue this success, a constant supply of gently
used items is needed.
