What is a Microchip?

A microchip is a small RFID chip about the size of a grain of rice. It is implanted underneath the skin right between your pets shoulder blades. It contains a unique number used by a Veterinarian or Shelter to identify your pet when scanned. This number is then used to find the owners contact information in a registry

What a Microchip isn't.

A microchip is not a GPS or tracking device, Those need to be charged daily.
It also does not store your information, the chip needs to be registered and information updated regularly!
